Massage & Energy Remedies to Relax, Restore, Revitalize 732.288.2711
While the standard massage is one hour, many people find that a 1 1/2 hour session provides additional time for muscle pain relief, relaxation benefits and/or inclusion of in-depth work for a specific issue. Half hour massage sessions may be appropriate for treatment of a particular area (i.e., back, neck, or shoulders).
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of communication between client and practitioner. Many people have never gone for a second massage because the first one didn't meet their expectations. Just like Italian food, not all bodywork practitioners, spas, or office settings are the same. Relaying your preferences (i.e., room is too cold; music is not your taste, pressure is too much,...) will certainly get you a session providing the benefits you are looking for!
The massage sessions I perform are "integrated" meaning different modalities may be used to relieve pain, reduce stress and achieve a state of balance. My rates as well as brief explanations of various techniques are provided below.
1/2 hour session: $35
1 hour session: $70
1 1/2 session: $100
Aromatherapy: Use of essential oils (life essence derived from plant material) to bring pain relief and relaxation by topical application or through inhalation. While no medical claims are made regarding the use of essential oils, plants and their constituents have been used for thousands of years to aide in healing body/mind/spirit dysfunction. https://naha.org/explore-aromatherapy/about-aromatherapy/what-is-aromatherapy/
Craniosacral Therapy: Restrictions to membranes surrounding and protecting the brain and spinal cord can inhibit the flow of cerebro-spinal fluid. Using this gentle hands-on therapy the body's self-healing wisdom is accessed, restrictions released and the rhythm of the CranioSacral system can be restored. This modality has proven effective for a wide range of dysfunctions including CNS disorders, headaches, neck and back problems as well as for stress related problems. http://upledger.com/therapies/index.php
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT): Modality that relieves pain by using soft tissue manipulation and/or compression to areas of painful restriction. Addressing areas of imbalance can often provide pain relief and a return to greater range of motion. This modality is known to provide relief for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, TMJ, and whiplash. http://www.stjohnseminars.com/phil.htm
Polarity: Based on universal principals of energy (attraction, repulsion, neutrality), this healing art incorporates bodywork, movement and guidance to bring the body/mind/spirit into a state of energetic balance. https://polaritytherapy.org/about/history/
Advanced Restorative Reiki: Aids in utilizing the power of the mind to create a more peaceful state in the body where greater healing and relaxation can occur. Beneficial for stress reduction, chemotherapy, radiation, and surgical procedures.
Reiki: Reiki means "Universal Life Force Energy". This hands-on energy therapy can produce profound healing, peace and relaxation to the body/mind/spirit. http://reikiinmedicine.org/reiki-can-help-you/
Reflexology (Hand and Foot): Based on the principal there are reflex points on the hands/feet corresponding to all of the major organ systems of the body, reflexology is both relaxing and restorative. By applying finger pressure specific points, the autonomic nervous system responds thus releasing tension and helping restore the body to balance. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/consumer-health/expert-answers/what-is-reflexology/faq-20058139
Swedish Massage: Employing the use of long gliding strokes (effleurage) and kneading strokes (petrissage), Swedish provides a generally relaxing yet therapeutic massage.
